The Palace
Upon entering the French style palace, guests are greeted by an incredible marble staircase that invites them to explore the three floors which house the large bedrooms that sleep up to 16 people. These rooms are true to the original elegant style of the residence but at the same time, they have incorporated modern comforts. In total there are 4 master suites and 2 bedrooms en suite with 3 twin-sized beds each.
The impressive formal dining room for 20, the terraces and verandas, the informal breakfast room….are just some of the possible scenarios for relaxing and enjoying the delicious homemade cooking.
The spacious living room and library on the ground floor are the preferred spot for an afternoon cocktail or for the simple pleasure of immersing oneself in reading an interesting book from the home’s collection.
In the evening, the palace comes to life offering entertainment according to each guest’s personal interests…winetasting in the Cellar, a glass of Malbec at the Wine Bar, a movie in the Media Room, the Billiard room, or an intimate gathering around the baby grand piano….
Walking around the park and gardens is a true pleasure for all the senses……discover the variety of old trees, bask in the tranquility while bird watching, or be surprised and learn by watching the gauchos as they tend to their horses and daily activities. A visit to the stable is a must, as is a ride in one of the 6 antique carriages, or a pleasant horseback ride. La Fortuna has several horses for both pulling carriages and others for riding. Another option for touring the grounds is a ride in the antique Ford Model A from 1920.
Not to be missed, the traditional argentine barbecue or asado can be enjoyed in the cabana area next to the pool and solarium.
La Fortuna also has a beautiful organic herb and vegetable garden that grows its produce according to the latest natural tendencies. While trying to obtain healthy products, it attractively combines vegetables, grains, edible flowers, and aromatic herbs.
